Obverse description Draped bust of the Roman Senate personified, facing right, depicted with idealized features and richly draped shoulders. The legend ΙΕΡΑ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ (Sacred Senate) encircles the bust within the field. The flan is irregular with a notable chip at the lower edge, characteristic of provincial hammered coinage of the period.

Reverse description Sarapis enthroned to the left, wearing the characteristic modius (kalathos) headdress, his right hand extending a patera and his left hand holding a long sceptre upright. The god is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition common to provincial bronzes of the Ionian coast. The encircling legend names the local strategos responsible for the issue, with ΦΩΚΑΙΕΩΝ in the lower field denoting the civic authority of Phocaea. The flan exhibits the same irregular clipping visible on the obverse.
