| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus I (Thrax) facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible beneath the cuirass. The emperor's strongly modelled features and pronounced beard are characteristic of his portraiture. The Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan. |
