The effigy shows the prince in military attire with paludamentum, the drapery rendered in broad folds across the left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend names the imperial heir with his title. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan era. |

The composition closely follows the canonical Lupa Romana iconographic type, evoking the legendary foundation of Rome and asserting the colony's Roman identity. The colonial abbreviation legend appears around the periphery and in the exergue. The reverse field is unadorned, with the ground line clearly defined beneath the wolf. |
