Æ25 - Maximinus ΕΠΙ ϹΤΡΑ ΕΥΤΥΧΟΥϹ ΑΔΡΑΜΥΤΗΝΩΝ

Adramyteum, a coastal city in Mysia, issued coins under the authority of a local magistrate — the strategos — whose name appears in the inscription. Maximinus Thrax, the soldier-emperor whose reign this commemorates, never visited the eastern provinces and was recognized by cities like Adramyteum largely through formulaic loyalty issues. He was murdered by his own troops outside Aquileia in 238, the same year this series ends.
