| Obverse description | Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean bronze coinage. The emperor's effigy displays characteristic portrait features of Lucius Verus with short curled hair and beard. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Turreted Hera, the principal deity of Chalcis, seated left upon her sacred conical stone (the baetyl), rendered in a static, hieratic style befitting a cult image. The goddess holds a patera in her extended right hand and a long sceptre in her left. The reverse legend in two parts identifies the deity and the issuing civic authority. The composition reflects the deep cultic significance of Hera at Chalcis and is a hallmark type of this mint's provincial bronze coinage. |
