Reverse description Zeus enthroned left upon a high-backed throne, his semi-draped figure rendered in the classical provincial style; he extends his right hand holding a patera over a small eagle standing at his feet to the right, while his left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. The deity is depicted with bare torso and drapery across the lower body. A circular Greek legend naming the local magistrate and the civic community of the Cotiaeans surrounds the type, with the ethnic ΚΟΤΙΑΕΩΝ inscribed in the lower exergual field.
