Obverse description Turreted and draped bust of the deified Senate (Senatus) facing right, personified as a mature male figure wearing a mural crown, rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Carian civic coinage. The legend ΙΕΡΑ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ ('Sacred Senate') is inscribed in the field, identifying the divine personification.
