The inscription naming Aristotimost as dedicating priest marks this as a civic issue tied to a specific religious office at Delphi rather than a generalized civic emission. Priestly dedicatory bronzes of this kind were funded personally by the magistrate named — a form of public euergetism expected of elite Delphians holding sanctuary office.
