Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with the emperor's characteristic short beard visible. The effigy displays the paludamentum draped over the cuirass, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Achaean civic coinage. The encircling legend in Greek characters runs around the periphery of the flan. The portrait, though worn, retains the recognizable physiognomy associated with Hadrianic portraiture of the early-to-mid second century AD.
