| Obverse description | Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with paludamentum draped over the left shoulder, the portrait rendered in a frontal three-quarter perspective characteristic of provincial coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive close-cropped beard, a hallmark of Hadrianic portraiture introduced to Roman coinage after his accession. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer border of the flan. The die work reflects the local engraving tradition of the Corinthian colonial mint, with slightly irregular flan edges consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze production. |
