Reverse description Athena, the civic goddess and patron deity, stands facing left in a composed contrapposto pose, extending a patera in her raised right hand over a small lighted altar at her feet, while her left arm rests upon a large round shield with a spear leaning against it. The composition reflects a standard Athena-with-offerings type common to provincial bronze coinage of Mysia and the Adramyteum conventus during the Antonine period. The reverse legend in Greek encircles the field, identifying the issuing community.
