| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Empress Tranquillina facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Carian civic coinage. The effigy is depicted with a stephane-style diadem and layered drapery visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend identifies the empress by her full name, Furia Sabinia Tranquillina, wife of Gordian III. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical wear consistent with circulation. |
