| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of eastern provincial issues. The radiate crown is visible above the head, with drapery and cuirass rendered in low relief consistent with the provincial hammered style. A dotted border or beaded circle surrounds the effigy. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |
