Reverse description The Agathodaemon serpent, sacred protective deity of Alexandria, depicted erect and facing right in its characteristic rearing posture. The serpent is shown with its hood spread, entwined around a central stem, flanked on either side by wheat ears and a caduceus, symbolising fertility and divine protection. The regnal year legend L ΙΓ (Year 13) appears in the field. The composition is centrally placed within the coin's flan and is rendered in the bold, schematic style typical of Alexandrian provincial bronzes.
