| Reverse description | Full-length figure of Dionysus standing facing left, the god depicted in the characteristic Hellenistic manner with robes falling to his feet. He holds what appears to be a cantharus (wine cup) in his extended right or left hand and a thyrsus (the Dionysiac staff) in the other hand. The figure is rendered in moderate relief, typical of Greek provincial civic bronze coinage. The ethnic legend of the Megarians appears in the field, partially preserved. |
