Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly visible atop the emperor's head, with the cuirass indicated by diagonal strapping across the shoulder. The Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the effigy within a beaded border. The portrait conveys the characteristic physiognomy of Commodus as depicted on provincial bronzes of the mid- to late Antonine period.
