| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Lydios standing, facing left, in a full-length draped figure, extending his right hand to hold an eagle perched upon it, and grasping a long sceptre in his left hand. The deity is depicted in the standard standing pose associated with the Lydian Zeus cult widespread across western Asia Minor. A circular Greek legend surrounds the type, naming the local archon and identifying the issuing civic authority of Kadohenon (Kadoi). The style is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of Phrygia under Commodus. |
