Obverse description Bare laureate head of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style with softly modelled features and layered hair beneath the laurel wreath. The legend is disposed around the periphery of the flan, partially legible due to the irregular planchet. The regnal year date, rendered as L Ι (year 10), appears in the lower field. The portrait displays the characteristic draped shoulder visible at the truncation, consistent with Claudian provincial coinage of Alexandria.
