| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with the radiate crown rendered in bold relief. The imperial effigy is portrayed in a three-quarter rear view, a convention characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. The Greek legend is distributed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The overall style is consistent with the provincial workshop tradition of Caria. |

| Reverse description | Tyche stands facing, with head turned to the left, rendered in full figure in the round. In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder, symbolising fortune and navigation, while her left arm supports a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and abundance. The composition is typical of civic reverse types for cities of the Carian conventus, emphasising the prosperity and good fortune of Heraclea Salbace. The ethnic legend of the issuing city is inscribed around the reverse field. |
