Obverse description Facing jugate busts of Caligula and Augustus confronted at center, Caligula to the left with laureate head and Augustus to the right with radiate crown, both rendered in profile facing one another on a shared truncation. The effigies are depicted in the Hellenistic Greek civic tradition, with confident portraiture characteristic of early imperial provincial bronzes. A Greek legend encircles the field, identifying the two emperors.
