| Obverse description | Bare-headed portrait bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style with naturalistic facial features. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive beard and relatively youthful physiognomy as seen in early regnal coinage. The surrounding field carries the imperial Greek legend identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy wear consistent with circulation use. |
