背面描述 Zeus enthroned to the left, his body draped, holding an eagle in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The figure is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Mysian civic bronzes of the Antonine period. The Greek magistrate legend curves around the field, identifying the issuing archon and the city of Germe.

附加信息

Germe was a minor Mysian city whose civic coinage under Antoninus Pius survives in very small numbers, almost certainly reflecting a limited, locally authorized issue rather than sustained municipal production. The magistrate name preserved in the legend — rendered in the genitive as is standard for the archon responsible — points to a specific individual whose tenure can be roughly bracketed by the co-regency of Marcus Aurelius, narrowing the likely striking window considerably within the broader 147–161 range. Provincial bronzes from the Pergamene conventus at this scale were struck for local exchange and rarely traveled far, which is precisely why so few examples surface outside Turkish collections and regional auction houses.
