| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Galatian civic coinage. The emperor's portrait is boldly struck within the flan, displaying the characteristic features of Flavian imperial portraiture. The circular Greek legend ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΟΥΕϹΠΑϹΙΑΝΟϹ runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular, as typical of provincially produced bronze coinage of this period. |
