| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Judaean civic coinage of the Flavian period. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath and paludamentum, with facial features characteristic of Vespasianic portraiture. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΟΥΕϹΠΑϹΙΑ ϹΕΒΑ(Ϲ), identifying the emperor by his imperial title in abbreviated form. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of this era. |
