| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, depicted from behind (rear view), with the radiate crown rendered in relief above the head. The paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder, and the cuirass exhibits decorative detailing characteristic of mid-third-century provincial coinage. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy along the rim of the flan. |
