Obverse description Youthful diademed head of the eponymous hero Kyzikos facing right, rendered in the local provincial style. The bare neck is visible below the chin, and a serpent may be present in the lower field beneath the portrait. The legend ΚΥΖΙΚΟϹ runs around the periphery, identifying the civic deity. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with long circulation.
