| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Homonoia (Concord) stands facing left in full figure, robed in a long chiton and himation, extending a patera in her right hand over a small altar and cradling a cornucopia in her left arm. This reverse type, emblematic of civic and interstate harmony, alludes to the formal homonoia alliance between the cities of Nicaea and Byzantium. The Greek legend encircles the field, identifying both cities and their bond of concord. The composition follows established Bithynian provincial iconographic conventions of the Severan and post-Severan periods. |
