| Obverse description | Radiate, draped bust of Volusianus facing right, with rays of the radiate crown clearly rendered above the head. The effigy displays a cuirassed or draped shoulder, characteristic of the mid-third-century provincial coinage style. A Greek imperial legend surrounds the portrait, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination of a struck bronze provincial issue. |
