Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Volusian facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view. The emperor's portrait is depicted in the typical provincial style of the mid-third century, with military paraphernalia visible across the shoulder. A Latin legend encircles the bust in the obverse field. The flan is irregular and the coin shows significant wear and patination consistent with its provincial bronze fabric.
