Obverse description Radiate, draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, the radiate crown rendered with multiple spikes above the head. The portrait displays provincial workmanship characteristic of the Carrhae mint, with drapery visible on the right shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the rough, somewhat crude style typical of Mesopotamian civic bronze coinage of the Severan period.
