| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, rendered three-quarter view from behind, showing the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the effigy, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature in Greek. The die work is characteristic of the provincial bronze coinage of Phrygia under the Severan dynasty. |
