| Beschrijving keerzijde | Veiled and draped bust of Tyche facing right, the civic goddess personifying the fortune and prosperity of Prusa ad Olympum. She wears a veil falling over her draped shoulders and is depicted in the conventional Hellenistic manner reserved for tutelary deities of Bithynian cities. The encircling Greek legend in the field identifies the issuing civic authority. The type reflects the widespread veneration of Tyche on provincial bronzes of the region during the Severan period. |
