Reverse description Athena, helmeted and draped, standing left in a composed frontal pose, her head turned slightly downward. She holds an owl in her extended right hand and a long spear in her left, with a large round shield resting upright against the ground at her side. The civic legend of the Silandeans is distributed in the field to either side of the deity, all within a dotted border. The type reflects the prominent civic veneration of Athena as a tutelary goddess in the cities of the Lydian conventus.
