Reverse description Cult statue of Artemis Ephesia (Ephesian Artemis) standing facing, depicted in the traditional xoanon form with supports (prongs) flanking the figure and stags positioned on either side. The idol is rendered in the hieratic style characteristic of provincial Anatolian coinage, recalling the famous cult image housed at Ephesus. The ethnic legend of the issuing community is inscribed in the field around the central type.
