Reverse description A tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its pediment ornamented with a crescent symbol, reflecting the prominent lunar cult of Carrhae. In the central intercolumnation stands a conical baetyl — the sacred cult stone of the moon god Sin — mounted on a base and surmounted by a crescent. In the lateral wings, two military signa are each housed within a distyle aedicule, each shrine also crowned by a crescent, emphasizing the syncretic religious and military character of this colonial mint. The Greek colonial legend ΚΟΛ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΑ ΚΑ appears in the field, identifying the issuing authority as Colonia Aurelia Carrhae.
