Reverse description Two facing laurel wreaths depicted side by side at the centre of the coin, each wreath enclosing a single Greek letter: Π (Pi, referencing the Pythian games) on the left and Χ (Chi, referencing the Chrysanthine games) on the right. The wreaths are rendered in the conventional provincial style with overlapping leaf pairs tied at the base. The surrounding legend, distributed around the periphery of the flan, records the homonoia (concord) between the neocorate cities of Hierapolis and Sardis. The overall composition is characteristic of homonoia issues celebrating shared festival prestige between allied Anatolian cities.
