The paludamentum is visible over the shoulder, and the cuirass is indicated beneath. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Dionysus, god of wine, stands facing left in a relaxed contrapposto posture, holding a cantharus (wine cup) extended in his right hand and a long thyrsus (staff entwined with ivy and tipped with a pine cone) in his left. At his feet to the lower left crouches a panther, his sacred animal, looking upward toward him. The type reflects the strong Dionysiac cult tradition at Ancyra in Lydia. |
