The portrait, though attributed tentatively to Otho, displays the characteristic close-cropped hair and strong jaw typical of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian-era provincial portraiture. The surrounding Greek legend arcs around the upper and lower fields of the flan. The flan is irregular and slightly off-centre, as is typical of provincial bronze coinage of this period. |
