Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus I Thrax facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from behind, conveying a sense of martial authority characteristic of provincial Roman coinage. The imperial effigy displays the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and the segmented cuirass, with the radiate laurel wreath clearly delineated despite wear. The circular Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible through wear. The portrait style is consistent with the robust, military-inflected representation of Maximinus favored by Bithynian civic mints during his brief reign.
