| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximus (Caesar), facing right and seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial Roman style typical of Alexandrian Troas coinage of the mid-third century. The portrait displays short hair and military attire, with the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The peripheral Latin legend partially surrounds the effigy in the field. Surface heavily worn with brown patination consistent with long circulation. |
