| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from the rear, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The emperor's beard and laureate wreath are clearly articulated, consistent with portraits of Hadrian's mature reign. The Greek imperial legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and somewhat worn, characteristic of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period. |
