| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated atop the head, while the paludamentum and cuirass are visible at the truncation. The surrounding Greek legend encircles the effigy, identifying the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The flan is irregularly shaped, typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period, and the relief, though worn, preserves the essential features of the imperial portrait. |
