| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, with finely rendered curled hair and beard characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The emperor wears a laurel wreath, a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, and segmented cuirass visible at the truncation. The Greek imperial legend is disposed in two arcs around the bust within a beaded border. The modelling of the portrait is bold and sculptural, reflecting the high-quality die engraving associated with the Alexandrian mint. |

| Reverse description | Isis, crowned with a solar disc flanked by cow horns and double plumes, seated to the right on a throne. On her knee she supports the infant Harpocrates, who wears the pschent double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt and raises his right hand in the characteristic gesture of childhood. A tall palm branch stands in the right field, a symbol of victory and divine favour. The composition masterfully blends Egyptian theological iconography with the artistic conventions of the Roman provincial mint at Alexandria. The date regnal year legend L ΙϚ appears in the field. |
