| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, draped with paludamentum over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style, with the laureate wreath clearly distinguishable around the head. A two-part Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, reading ΑΥΤ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ to the left and ΚΤΙϹΤΗϹ to the right, identifying the emperor as 'Hadrian the Founder.' The flan is somewhat irregular, with moderate wear and a dark olive-brown patina characteristic of provincial bronzes from the Peloponnese. |
