| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Antinous facing right, rendered with characteristic youthful idealism and the distinctive thick, curling locks swept upward from the forehead, as befitting the heroized favorite of Hadrian. The portrait displays the rounded facial features and full neck typical of Antinous coin iconography in the Greek provincial series. The surrounding legend is disposed in a circular arrangement around the effigy within the field. |
