Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Macedonian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy occupies the majority of the field, with the paludamentum visible at the left shoulder. A beaded border frames the design.
