Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Pontic civic coinage. The emperor's youthful features are clearly delineated, with short-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder, and the cuirass is visible at the lower truncation. A beaded border encircles the entire field. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery.
