| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, presented in three-quarter frontal view with drapery visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the conventional provincial style of the Severan-Gordian period, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the head. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is somewhat irregular, as is typical of provincial bronze issues of this period and region. |
