The imperial effigy displays the characteristic stylized engraving of the Cyzicene mint, with the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is notably irregular, consistent with hammered provincial issues of this period. |

The bold, high-relief rendering of the serpents and torches is characteristic of the skilled die-cutters working at Cyzicus under Gallienus. |
