Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The coin surface bears a dark brown patina with areas of green encrustation characteristic of long-buried provincial bronze coinage.
